The discussion will focus on the importance of independent benchmarking in improving the performance of insurance companies and on its role in fostering market dialog. The speakers will present practical examples of implementing benchmarking in foreign banks and insurance companies, as well as in Polish banks.

The panel will discuss the impact of disaster insurance schemes on Poland’s economy. Experts will analyze foreign models, assess the role of the state, and propose directions for the development of a disaster protection system to more effectively manage the economic impact of future disaster events.

Challenges and opportunities associated with the increasing life expectancy. Experts will analyze how the aging population affects the insurance sector, pension systems and health care. The discussion will also cover strategies for adapting the insurance market to changing demographic needs and the development of financial products to support longevity.

This panel will include three 20-minute presentations, with representatives of various companies showcasing their latest technologies and services. The aim of these speeches is to show how an innovative approach may shape the future of the insurance sector, increasing its competitiveness and adapting it to the dynamically changing needs of its customers.

The panel will analyze the impact of the 2024 flood and the effectiveness of measures taken by insurance companies. The panelists will comment on the discrepancy between the actual level of insurers’ involvement in the claims handling process and the public perception of their activities that is based largely on the media narrative. The discussion will focus on how to reduce the insurance gap, improve efficiency in the face of natural disasters, and increase public confidence in insurance companies.
